Clark County Auditor

The Clark County Auditor oversees elections, licensing, and recording. The Recording Department issues marriage licenses and records public documents like deeds. You can view recorded land records in the online portal. As of July 2025, House Bill 1498 raised marriage license fees from $72 to $172 with a $100 surcharge for domestic violence programs. House Bill 1858 raised recording fees from $18 to $301 for deed documents that transfer ownership or trusteeship.

Clerk of the Superior Court

The Clark County Clerk is an elected official whose duties come from the Washington State Constitution and state law. The Clerk's Office handles copy requests, family law instructions, protection orders, and e-filing. Office hours are 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM, closed for lunch from noon to 1:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Clark County Court Records Search

Clark County Superior Court cases can be searched online by case number, party name, or attorney bar ID. Records may also be requested from the Clerk's Office using a Copy Request Form. Copies cost between $0.25 and $5 per page. A $30 search fee may apply when requests have no case number. Most case records are considered public, though some info may be redacted when copies go out.

For criminal case searches filed since 1979, the fee is $5 plus a written verification. Cases before 1979 need a $30 research fee. Clark County follows a set fee schedule for court records. Certified copies cost $5 for the first page and $1 for each added page. Clark County Assessor Property Lookup

Vital Records in Clark County

Birth and death records come from Clark County Public Health, Vital Records. The office is at 1601 E. Fourth Plain Blvd, Bldg 17, 4th Floor, Suite 419, Vancouver, WA 98661. Phone 564-397-8092. Under state law, the restriction period for birth records is 100 years from the date of birth. For death records it is 50 years from the date of death. Close relatives and legal representatives may request records regardless of age.

District Court and Records Office
